Geneseo Sammys have been able to maintain the highest cumulative GPA on campus among all fraternities every semester since its recognition. We've been able to do this by both enforcing our own academic policy as well as helping each other study, review, and acheive success in the classroom. Sigma Alpha Mu regularly reserves classrooms on campus to provide a setting for both brothers and candidates to study and work together.

The Sigma Alpha Mu Foundation provides brothers across the country with over $145,000 in scholarships every year. We've also been fortunate enough to have alumni establish scholarships available solely for the brothers of the Geneseo chapter of Sigma Alpha Mu. Also candidates who obtain a 3.75 GPA the semester they join automatically receive a $200 scholarship from the national office of Sigma Alpha Mu.

Future Endeavors
Besides being well prepared to enter the workforce right out of undergraduate, many Sammys choose to pursue the goal of attending medical, dental, and law school as well as masters and PhD programs in a wide variety of fields. Not only are there several alumni who have reached this goal and are willing to lend a helping hand, but there are several current brothers familiar with the requirements and application process of these programs to guide those new to the process along the way. Every year there are several brothers within the fraternity who take the MCAT, LSAT, GRE, GMAT, and other graduate school admissions exams.
